An oldie, but always a goodie. The chicken boxes here are perfection. There's no way this place would still be up and running in a shopping center where basically everything else is shut down if it wasn't the bomb dot com!
My friend and I decided to dine in on our most recent visit to take in all of our memory lane visit. This place has tons of certificates and awards displayed for their delicious food selections. They are all about community as well. They allow Morgan State University students to advertise their events. They also post photos of various sports teams in the community.
A tip: if you're going for a chicken box, get your chicken and fries (western fries to be specific) friend hard. Thank me later! -

Sunny's is a hole in the wall, no frills wings and things shop in mid-Baltimore. From your arrival, the expectations are realistically low. The location is part of a strip mall with little advertising or pizzazz. The staff makes up for this by providing freshly-made huge wings and flats that come with a variety of sauces. Again, this is not a five-star dining experience but the food is hot, good and made-to-order. There are a few sides but nothing memorable.
Again this is no-frills, which means you just go to the counter and order. There's some seating and a TV but not much else in the way of decor. The staff is friendly enough but unspectacular too. Basically, if you're in need of a hot, quick meal this a good place to go. -

Sometimes you dont want fancy food. Sometimes you just want some wings, wedges, saltpepperketchup (yes i spelled this right, its a bmore thing)
Sunny's always delivers. if you want it fried and you want it good just come here. catfish, chicken, shrimp, subs all of that Sunny's has all these things. Its what you want when you are craving takeout food. Sunny's even has mumbo sauce for you D.C ppl. Sunny's might not be the prettiest place in the world but they know their purpose and execute it well.
Go get some food you wont be mad -

The tenders were amazing. Not that fake breaded over greasy "chicken" you get at some of these other carry out place. Sunny's might have the best wings title for a reason!

I've only tried the fried chicken so far, but dang it was good. I grew up eating Baltimore chicken boxes and I can't remember the last time I've had some decent wings. Thank God I found this carry out. Everyone knows the best chicken boxes are from little hidden gem carry out joints. Their chicken was light, fresh, crispy, and not greasy. The meat falls off the bone. They also have so many different wing flavors, that they could give BWW a run for their money.
Can't wait to try lake trout next. I also heard their cheesesteaks are bomb. Will have to try them out too.
